Professional conversation, inconsistent follow-through
I had a positive screening interview during which I appreciated the recruiter’s clarity and professionalism. They outlined next steps and said I would hear back the following week. However, I received an automated request to review the application process the same day. This implied the process had already ended and felt inconsistent with the conversation. My guess is that my application was closed in the ATS shortly after the call. Eventually I did received a boilerplate rejection mail. I requested feedback but received no response. In the meantime, the job ad has been reposted. The interview with the recruiter was positive, but the automated process and follow-through created a mismatch and could be improved for a more consistent candidate experience.
